Phlexx client and professional boxer Gabriel Rosado will be facing former middleweight world title challenger Luis Arias on November 17 on a Matchroom USA card on DAZN in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Gabriel has been training with Mario for a couple years now and the Phlexx community has seen him continue to grow his professional boxing career. He is a frequent guest at our weekly run club and is always motivating people around him.

Not so fun fact: the majority of people hate doing them.
Fortunately, when people start adding burpees into their workouts, its easy to see results fairly quickly which motivates people to continue doing them.
This week I had Sibley Scoles come in fresh from vacation demanding to "get her ass kicked." After indulging in delicious foods, relaxing, and not being as physically active as she usually is, she was ready to go PHLEXX mode.
We did a total body circuit workout that included an advanced burpee that I call a "Spider plank burpee." When this is executed in correct form, it is highly effective.

Here's a snippet of a piece of her first official workout back in LA:
Our dynamic warmup started with above the knee resistance band lateral steps for 15 reps on each leg, followed by above the knee resistance band squats for 15 reps.
After the warmup we went directly into 12 reps of 55 lb. barbell squats with the resistance band above the knee and gradually increased the weight to 65 lbs.
The second move was a reverse single leg dumbbell lunge with 12.5 lb. weights for 8 reps on each leg directly followed by single leg dumbbell jump split squats with the same 12.5 lb weights for 8 reps on each leg.

Begin workout with a 3 mile run (duration around 25 minutes).
After the warmup, do 3 exercise core combo for 3 rounds w/ a 30 second rest in between rounds:

WORKLOAD #1
Squat to dumbbell step up super set.
* Rest between 1-3 minutes after each set.
WORKLOAD #2
Overhead squat to dumbbell squat press.
* Rest between 1-3 minutes after each set.
WORKLOAD #3
Seated leg extension to weighted full extension crunch.
* Rest between 1-3 minutes after each set.
To finish, do this upper body core burn out for 3 rounds w/ a 30 second rest in between rounds:
Cardio cool down = 1 mile run
*For best results, always make sure to stretch after you finish and consume at least 20 grams of protein within 30 minutes of your workout. And stay hydrated!
